Tyndale Theological seminary. A Life-Changing Place to Study!

Graduates

Meet some past Tyndale students

Simo Lintinen:  A Finnish Leader
Simo Lintinen is a graduate of the Nordiska Bible Institute in Sweden. After graduation, Simo became an ordained pastor in the Finnish Free Church, and eventually became the pastor of one of the largest evangelical churches in Finland. As Simo matured and grew in his spiritual walk with the Lord it became apparent that one of the greatest needs within the Finnish evangelical churches was for trained leadership. He appreciated his training at the Nordic Bible Institute and felt that he could be a greater servant to the Lord by becoming involved in the training of other Finnish pastors.

In order to prepare himself academically for a teaching role it was necessary for Simo to seek additional training. Realizing that this level of training was simply not available in any of the Scandinavian countries, his search led him to Tyndale Theological Seminary. Simo came to Tyndale with over fifteen years of ministry experience. He graduated in June of 1991 with a Master of Divinity degree in World Evangelization.

In February 1991 it was announced that Simo had been appointed President of the Theological Institute of Free Evangelical Churches of Finland. In this position, Simo is responsible for training pastors for the 92 churches with more than 13,000 members.

Branko from Serbia

Branko Bjelajac came to Tyndale from former Yugoslavia in the Summer of 1996. He had been working as a journalist in Belgrade for nearly 15 years before responding to the Lord's leading to prepare for full-time ministry. While at Tyndale, Branko completed both his Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees in three years. He was, in fact, the first student to complete the Th.M. degree writing his thesis on the historical development of Protestant and Evangelical churches in Serbia until 1945 . After finishing his program, Branko returned to Serbia to be a part of the faculty of a Bible school in Novi Sad. He is not only teaching, but is also involved in the ministry of Trans World Radio in Central and East Europe. In addition, Branko has written several books and also translated a number of them from English into Serbian.

Fares Marzone from Italy
Fares Marzone finished his masters degree at Tyndale in 2001. He came to Tyndale with years of ministry experience and has continued to serve the Lord in a variety of ministries since. He has been the President of the Instituto Biblico Evangelico Italiano in Rome for the past number of years. He also serves as the Chairman of the International Brethren Conference on Mission. Fares is the author of a number of books and articles. Much of his writing has been on missions, church planting, and church growth. He has also been a speaker for many years on the radio broadcast, "Voca della Biblia," which is the Italian branch of "Back to the Bible Broadcast." We thank the Lord for Fares and for the ways in which the Lord continues to use him in Italy and throughout Europe.

Dirk Jongkind from The Netherlands
Before Dirk came to Tyndale, he worked in the flower business in Holland. However, after working in that business for a number of years, he decided to follow his life's facination with the history and text of the Bible. He came to Tyndale where he completed his Masters in Old Testament and then went on to get a PhD in New Testament from Cambridge University, UK.

He is currently a research fellow in New Testament at Tyndale House in Cambridge. Dirk also directs the Tyndale House Summer School and does research on how the language of the courts in the Graeco-Roman world is reflected in the New Testament. He continues to research into the history of the Greek text of the Bible as well.

Isaac Kome from Cameroon

Before coming to Tyndale, Isaac had been serving the Lord for many years in his home country. He was a pastor and was the Evangelism Secretary for the Cameroon Baptist Convention. His pastoral "heart" and passion for missions and evangelism were very evident to all here at Tyndale. Isaac's Masters thesis was on the history of the North American Baptist mission work in Cameroon.

After completing his studies at Tyndale, he returned to Cameroon where he is one of the leaders and professors at the Cameroon Baptist Convention. We rejoice over the impact our brother Isaac is making for Christ and His Church in that part of the world.
