Are you interested in studying the Christian faith and obtaining a strong general background to your beliefs? Tyndale offers two certificate programs to help you gain a broad overview of Christian doctrine and practice. These programs will help you in your understanding of the Christian faith and strengthen your personal relationship with God. Applying your training will impact your home, church, neighborhood and workplace.
The certificate programs may be completed in a one-year time frame. However, they are flexible enough so that adults involved in full-time commitments elsewhere (e.g. family, work, ministry) can pursue them at a more gradual pace. In these programs, you will receive classroom instruction during the day or in the evening.
At present, Tyndale offers two main certificate programs. First, our Certificate of Theological Studies is specifically designed for those who are seeking theological preparation for ministry other than pastoral/pulpit ministries. This would include things like serving in short-term missions, supportive roles in missions or as lay church leaders.
The second certificate program is the Certificate of Christian Studies. This program is offered in conjunction with the Tyndale By Extension (TBE) program. It is available to anyone who has completed secondary education. This program is geared toward personal enrichment. Please see Tyndale By Extension for more information.
If you are hesitant to begin a degree program, the certificate programs can be a great place to start. Several of our MDiv graduates began their studies as certificate students.
Note: Please note that the Certificate programs are only available for the candidates within the European Union.
