Application Process

Once you have read the Admission Requirements, please complete and submit the application forms below. Please prepare and submit supporting documentation as instructed, taking careful note of which documents you may provide yourself and which must be returned by a third party. Typewritten answers are preferred.

  • Educational Background Form (Download here)

  • Scans of Diplomas and Official Transcripts from all Colleges and Universities (If these are not in English then they must be accompanied by a CERTIFIED English translation.)

  • Official Transcripts (You must request these to come directly to Tyndale from the educational institution.)

  • TOEFL or IELTS official English language test result at the required standard (see ‘English Language Proficiency Requirements’ above). You can register at http://www.ets.org/toefl or https://www.ielts.org/. For your own benefit in the admission financial aid decisions, please take this exam at the earliest possible date. The TOEFL scores should be sent directly to Tyndale by referencing the seminary in the exam: Use Code no. 9677 and Institution name Tyndale Theological Seminary. For the IELTS score, you must request a copy of the results to be mailed directly to Tyndale.

  • Personal Statements (Instructions are on the Application Form / section C, and should be sent as separate items.)

  • Student Financial Disclosure Form for MET and MDiv candidates who wish to apply for financial aid (Download here)

  • Student Sponsor Agreement informs a student sponsor of his/her financial obligations associated with a student’s enrollment at Tyndale Theological Seminary (Download here)

  • Letter of Family Support (Download here) Necessary for married applicants. It details your plan for supporting family members financially, physically, spiritually, and emotionally while you are away studying at Tyndale. This should be shared with and signed by the pastor of your church.

  • Recommendations (Download here)
    Four recommendations are required. These may not be completed by family members.

    • Employer, Work Supervisor or Professional Colleague

    • Pastor or Christian Leader with whom you have served (plus this additional recommendation form)

    • Teacher or Academic Mentor, especially able to judge your capacity for university-level study

    • Leader in your home congregation or the one in which you are currently most active

Each of the four recommendations must come directly from the person who completes it (NOT the applicant). Please have your referees scan and email their recommendations to [email protected].

  • Interview (If deemed necessary, a 30-60 minute interview may be conducted via ZOOM or Skype in the month of January and/or February.)

Deadlines for the MDiv, MET, and CTS Programs

Due to the visa process, the following deadlines for receipt of all your application materials apply:

  • Non-EU Countries: 15th of January for admission in June of the same year.

  • EU Countries and North America: 1st of May for admission in June of the same year.
